Efficacy of Neurofeedback

The Effects of Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback begins with operant (instrumental) conditioning of brain waves (neuronal firing patterns). EEG biofeedback or Neurofeedback is a technique in which the brain is trained to help improve its ability to regulate brain wave functions. Neurofeedback challenges the brain, much as you challenge your body in physical exercise, and can teach your brain to function more efficiently.

Neurofeedback can relieve symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, sleep disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum, PTSD, migraine, tension headaches and chronic pain. It cal also improve peak performance in business, sports, creative work or personal life.

The advantages of Neurofeedback

- You are an active participant in change.

-Your awareness of responses and reaction patterns improves.

- Your feelings of self-efficacy are enhanced.

-You learn specific self-regulation (self control) over symptoms.

- Undesirable effects are uncommon.

For more personal insight into the efficacy of Neurofeedback you can watch the videos bellow:

ADD-ADHD

ADD-ADHD

This training procedure has been shown to increase the ability to pay attention, focus and concentrate.

Autism spectrum

Autism spectrum

After a series of Neurofeedback sessions statistically meaningful improvements in a variety of executive functioning, social, and behavioral areas are experienced

Chronic Pain

Chronic Pain

Neurofeedback can play a key role in the management of chronic pain. Pain relief is obtained by improving the self-regulatory status.

PTSD

PTSD

Overwhelming trauma changes the brain, behavior, and lives of its victims, whether it be combat, rape, torture, disaster, near death experience, abuse, or even childhood neglect.

Depression

Depression

In the case of depression there has been an alteration in the rhythmic electrical activities of the brain. With depression, what is frequently seen is a tendency toward a slowing down of brain activity. Together with the client we design a program of self-training with Neurofeedback which allows one the opportunity to reach their optimal brain activity.
